The Will of Communities Demanded by the Rapid Growth of Tourism [vol.240]
With the volume of travelers rapidly increasing on a global scale, some communities have identified a worsening of living and business conditions due to an influx of tourists exceeding tolerable levels and their behavior, as well as a reduced quality of the tourist experience. Even as we experience these changes in conditions, we will have extensive dialogue in communities to clearly express the will of the community, and explore the proper from of sustainable tourism in Japan through the efforts of areas across Japan which have taken action and adapted.
