【今回の調査結果のポイント】
- 現在のコロナ禍で観光レクリエーション旅行へ行きたいかを尋ねた結果、国内旅行は21年５月調査では「新型コロナウイルスが流行しているので、行きたくない」が６割を超えましたが、21年12月調査では３割弱に減少し、代わりに「行きたい」が６割以上となりました。一方で、海外旅行は21年12月調査でも「行きたい」は約１割にとどまりました。
- 国内旅行を実施するかどうかの判断では、「緊急事態宣言の発出状況」などの要請が上位を占めています。国内におけるワクチン接種が進んだことから、21年５月調査から21年12月調査にかけて、「自分のワクチン接種の有無」などワクチンに関する項目は順位を下げました。
- 今後の旅行で行きたい地域は「これまでに旅行したことのない地域」、「人が密集しない地域」、あまり行きたくない地域は「感染者が多い地域」、「感染症対策が徹底されていない地域」が上位を占めました。感染症対策や密の回避は、旅行先を選択する上での必要条件として定着してきているようです。
【Key Points of Results】
- When asked whether they would like to go on a sightseeing/recreational trip during the pandemic, more than 60% of the respondents in the May 2021 survey did not want to travel domestically because of COVID-19. However, in the December 2021 survey, this fell to a little above 30%, with “Want to go” rising to more than 60%. However, only about 10% of respondents wanted to go on an overseas trip during the December 2021 survey.
- Government requests, including whether a declaration of emergency had been declared, were the main factors determining whether respondents would travel domestically. Progress with vaccination in Japan caused the ranking of items related to vaccines, such as whether or not the respondents were vaccinated themselves, to decrease from the May 2021 survey to the December 2021 survey.
- Top destinations for future trips included “Areas I have never traveled to before” and “Areas that are not too densely crowded” while the top destinations to avoid were “Areas with many infections,” “Areas without thorough public health and anti-infection measures”. It seems that infection control and avoiding crowds are becoming a requirement when choosing travel destinations.
